Since my run in with the bad service from the Gomoto shop in Mowbray I've decided to service my bike myself from now on. So this weekend, the time came for its 2nd service and everything was going swimmingly until I opened up the airbox and noticed that there was nowhere for the air to go into! The nice thing about this is that my airfilter was obviously spotless because no dirt could get into it either.
Now I don't know about you or other Gomoto users, but I've never been able to just open up the throttle any old time without the bike boggin down and losing power (especially with 2 people on it), so I immediatly drilled 5/6 8mm holes into the airbox cover and my Gomoto is now going like a dream (like it was meant to from the 1st day!) and the modification has even has added little throaty growl to tis personality.
Just thought I'd let you know-if you want to see what I'm talking about without actually making the modification just remove the airbox cover for a short trip and see if it makes a difference to your bike.

WoW!The little Gomoto now has a big bike sound, What a Growl, performance is also better through the rev range.

Hmmmm.... Im assuming that drilling holes into the airfilter would void any warranties, right? :P
However, how much extra power are you getting out of it now that you've drilled the holes in? I'm surprised that the air filter didnt have holes in it already. I mean, surely that's the bloody point, right? (I'm not mechanically-minded, mind you)
David,You are entirely right,however the gomoto has the remote black box stuck on top of the air intake moulding, halfway over it, thus causing to breath less air into the system.So solution is to drill holes,but remember the AIR FILTER IS STILL INTACT to prevent any dust into the engine that can cause wear.Drilling holes into the cover then is acceptable to a certain degree-More air=more Power,just alowing the engine to breath in more...

Me and my brother checked out his airbox yesterday, while I was oiling my chain, and his airbox does have a hole inside (top left) that has a passage to a space underneath the seat, which is in fact the place where the air is getting in.
Does your airbox not have this? Or are your saying the air that comes in there is not enough.

Hi Louis, The Remote switch were fitted over the hole at the top to which you refer to in some rare cases.Therefore the air that comes in there is not enough.

good work but how you drain rainwater runing into box,just to let know air intake is ubder the seat. water can couse motor to blowup hurt or kill you
